This book has not yet been translated into English, French or Italian.
Regardless of that, you can still understand the topic of the book by using the illustrations in the last third of this book (from page 130)
These pictures show how Our Lady of Guadalupe looked before it was modified in between 1926-1931.Pictures before 1926 reflect that. Pictures after 1926 show how it looks today.
To this date, nobody has been able to explain how the image was made as there is no trace of brushes or any other painting instrument.
Nothing explains how the Face looks clean and soft, and how whoever made it managed to keep the knots, holes and stains that were already contained on the cloth, and even used them as elements of the overall composition of the Face.
That is why in Mexico, the original Face of Our Lady of Guadalupe, has always been considered as a self portrait of the Virgin Mary, that came out from Her very own Holy Hands in 1531.
